Ann M. Symons, 64, of Alton passed away Thursday, October 2, 2025 on the family farm where she was raised. She was born October 4, 1960 to Roland B and Ruth Ann (Horstman) Rawson. Ann graduated from SIUE with a Master’s Degree, where she also worked as a librarian.
In her free time she loved to ride horses, barrel racing and riding motorcycles.
She is survived by her daughter, Elizabeth Symons of St. Louis, mother, Ruth Ann (Horstman) Rawson of Alton; two brothers, Robert (Gayle) Rawson of Jersey County and Roger (Carol) Rawson of Holiday Shores.
She was preceded in death by her father, Roland B. Rawson.
Cremation services entrusted to Paynic Home for Funerals in Rosewood Heights. The family will hold a celebration of Ann’s life at the Woodlands Golf Course & Banquet Facility (Red Barn), 2839 Harris Lane Alton, IL on October 18, 2025 from 1- 4 p.m.
