Alice Marie “Rotsch” Starbuck, 98, passed away on February 24, 2026 at St. Anthony’s Hospital.
Alice was born December 20, 1927 in St. Louis, MO, the daughter of the late Robert H. and Anna (Borchers) Rotsch.
She married John L. Starbuck on August 19, 1949 at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Wood River, IL. He preceded her in death on November 30, 2000.
She is survived by two sons, John R. Starbuck and his wife Fonda of Wood River, Tom Starbuck of Alton, IL.; three grandchildren, Craig (Casey) Starbuck of Wildwood, MO, Melissa (Randy) Harrop of Bethalto, IL, and Michelle (Jacob) Mitchell of Moro, IL.; six great-grandchildren, Ava, Madelyn, Joshua, Nora, Callum, and Reed; along with several nieces and a nephew.
In addition to her parents and husband, she is also preceded in death by her daughter, Kathy Davis; and a great-grandson, Gabriel Starbuck.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, February 28, 2026 from 10:00 am until the time of service at 11:00 am at Elias, Kallal, and Schaaf Funeral Home in Godfrey, IL.
Burial will follow at Valhalla Memorial Park in Godfrey, IL.
Memorials can be made to the Messiah Lutheran Church where she was a member for more than 74 years.
