Adelene (Addie) Margret Walz, 87, of Jerseyville, IL. went to be with the Lord on July 20, 2025.
She was a resident of Jerseyville Manor. Adelene was the daughter of Hardin and Leora (Miller) Armstrong. She was born on December 20, 1937.
She was first married to Gerald Woolsey and had 3 children. They later divorced. On June 12th, 1971, she married John (Jack) Walz. He died on November 13, 1983.
Adelene was a hairdresser for several years and later went on to work for Walmart.
Before she was diagnosed with Parkinsons, she stayed with alot of elderly people. Enjoying everyday of it.
Adelene was preceded in death by her parents Hardin and Leora; husband , Jack Walz; sons, Gary and Randy Woolsey; son-in-law, Steve Conrad; four sisters and three of their husbands, Dorothy and Bob Wilburn, Artie Kathryn and Jim Thompson, Elizabeth (Joy) and Gene Woolsey, and Berdella (Della) Baker.
She is survived by a brother-in-law, Floyd Baker, two daughters, Kathryn (Kathy) Malcomb (Duff) Foiles of Plainview, IL. and Cynthia (Cindy) Conrad of Jerseyville, IL.; daughter-in-law, Toni Woolsey of Grafton IL.; four grandchildren, Jeremy (Becky) Foiles of Plainview, IL, Amie (Tom) Schneider of Plainview, IL., Josh Woolsey of Bethalto, IL. and Tiffany (Kyle) Edwards of Grafton, IL.; 14 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great-grandchild and another one due in October; along with several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be Thursday, July 24, 2025 from 3:00 until time of service at 6:00 pm at Elias, Kallal & Schaaf Funeral Homes - Godfrey, Illinois.
Private burial will take place at Valhalla Memorial Park, in Godfrey, IL.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to the Parkinson's Foundation or family's choice.
