Ada Voumard, 93, died at 4:40 a.m. Thursday, August 23, 2012 at Jerseyville Nursing & Rehab. in Jerseyville. Born October 16, 1918 in Foster Township, she was the daughter of Adolph and Carrie (Brueggemann) Patsink.
She was a member of the Salem Presbyterian Church in Alton and retired in 1983 from the Alton Mental Health Center. On November 30, 1939 in Fosterburg, she married Roy Voumard. He preceded her in death on October 25, 2006.
Surviving are three daughters and sons-in-law; Bonnie and Mickey Shaw of Dorsey, Sharon and Gary Wild of Brighton, and Lavada and George Belchik of Jefferson City, MO, two sons and a daughter-in-law, Larry and Diane Voumard of Alton, and Lance Voumard of Alton, nine grandchildren, three step-grandchildren, 31 great grandchildren, 10 step-great grandchildren, one great-great granddaughter, and two step great-great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, a great grandson, Timmy Kempker, and two sisters, Mae Denother and Elsie Goostree. Visitation will be from 4:00-8:00 p.m. Monday, August 27, 2012 at Gent Funeral Home in Alton.
Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, August 28, 2012 at Salem Presbyterian Church in Alton. Reverend Janet Riley will officiate.
Burial will be at Ingersoll Cemetery.
Memorials may be made to the Salem Presbyterian Church.
