Majors, a sophomore, has been a part of the district’s wrestling and orchestra programs for four years. He also recently joined the Future Health Professionals (HOSA) organization.
Majors regularly volunteers, and he received first place on rings in the 2019 Illinois State competition for men’s gymnastics. Fitness is important to him, as he also enjoys biking, weightlifting, and “goofing off with friends.”
In September, Majors biked 150 miles over one weekend for Bike MS. This organization raises funds and awareness for multiple sclerosis. This year, Bike MS has raised $1.5 million and welcomed almost 40,000 cyclists to participate in the Bike MS initiative. Majors raised $450 and rode for Boeing.
His loved ones and teachers are proud of him for his hard work and kind heart. They look forward to watching him succeed throughout his high school career and beyond.
“[I plan to get a] biochemistry degree, then medical school,” he shared.
Congratulations to Zachary for this recognition by Edwardsville High School!
