Lahr, a senior, has played on the varsity soccer team for three years. He loves working as a team, and he pushes himself in every practice and game to continue improving.
It can be difficult to juggle sports and school, but Lahr does so with grace. He was recently inducted into the National Honor Society, which requires high grades and many hours of community service. He volunteers regularly at the Medora Ballpark.
Lahr also plays indoor soccer, and he spends a lot of time working on his family’s farm. He understands what it takes to keep a farm running, and he’s not afraid to put in the elbow grease it requires.
When he isn’t busy with school, soccer, or farmwork, he also enjoys fishing. He is most proud of getting accepted into college, which is a huge accomplishment.
He shared that he plans to attend either Southern Illinois University Edwardsville or Murray State after graduating in the spring. Just as they do during his soccer matches, his teachers and loved ones will be cheering him on.
Congratulations to Wyatt for this recognition from Southwestern High School!Dan Brannan also contributed to this story.
