GRANITE CITY — Seven Granite City High School students earned Cisco Certified Support Technician (CCST) certifications through their Introduction to Cybersecurity course, the school district announced this week.
The certifications, awarded by Cisco, a global leader in IT training and networking, recognize students’ job-ready skills in cybersecurity and IT support.

Among the students, seven received the Cybersecurity certification, three earned the IT Support certification, and one student achieved certifications in Cybersecurity, IT Support, and Networking.
“These industry-recognized certifications validate real-world, job-ready skills,” the Granite City School District stated in its announcement.
Students recognized include Melody Hang, Merrik Martinez-Vonderlage, Austin Wilson, Jeremiah Smith, Spencer Sipes, and Kylen Widel.
The district highlighted its achievement as part of its ongoing commitment to student success in technology education.
