ROXANA — The Civic Memorial Eagles overcame a slow start to defeat Freeburg 75-45 Tuesday night at the Roxana Hoopsgiving Tournament.

Freeburg led 16-13 after the first quarter, but Civic Memorial rallied in the second quarter to take a 35-27 lead into halftime.

The Eagles extended their advantage in the third quarter, outscoring Freeburg 23-11 to lead 58-38 heading into the final period. Civic Memorial maintained control in the fourth quarter, finishing with a 17-7 scoring edge.

Riley Lamb led Civic Memorial with 25 points, while Lukus Zangori added 22 points. Freeburg’s top scorer was Joe Carmack with 11 points.
