EAST ALTON — Emergency crews responded to a rollover traffic crash Wednesday morning, March 25, 2026, in the 500 block of Route 111 at Cardinal Drive.

The Rosewood Heights Fire Department, along with the Wood River Fire Department, arrived on scene to find a vehicle that had flipped multiple times. The car ultimately came to rest on its roof on Illinoia Route 111.

According to Rosewood Heights Fire Chief Nathan Friedrich, two victims were transported from the scene with what appeared to be minor injuries. All three occupants of the vehicle were already out of the car when police and fire personnel arrived.

Multiple agencies assisted at the scene, including the Wood River Police Department, Bethalto Police Department, Madison County Sheriff’s Department, and Illinois State Police. Alton Memorial Ambulance also responded.

The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
