For his accomplishments, Malachi Carter is a Fischer Lumber Student of the Month for East Alton-Wood River High School.
A senior, Carter is a celebrated multisport athlete. He plays football and participates on the track and field team.
He also represents his fellow students as a member of the Student Council. This year, he decided to become a Senior Mentor, helping underclassmen transition into high school.
As a member of the school’s National Honor Society, Carter maintains high grades and puts in several hours of community service. He has received the Renaissance Award for four years in a row, and he volunteers regularly with senior citizens.
In his free time, he enjoys going to football practice, watching football games, lifting weights, playing basketball, watching movies and playing video games. He hopes to play football in college, and he has already received his first offer from a local university.
Carter describes himself as “an extremely humble and empathetic individual with goals of not only becoming successful, but becoming a part of history.” His teachers and loved ones surely agree, and they can’t wait to see what he accomplishes next.
Congratulations to Malachi for this recognition from Fischer Lumber and East Alton-Wood River High School!
