(Photo by Chris Rhodes).WHITE HALL — Carrollton’s girls basketball team secured its 16th win of the season Monday night, Jan. 19, with a 61-27 victory over North Greene at White Hall. The Hawks improved their record to 16-6.

Hayden McMurtie led Carrollton with 24 points, followed by Blake Driskill with 19 and Chloe McAdams with 14. Collins Newton contributed two points. For North Greene, Sydney Schutz scored eight points, and Layna Bushnell added seven.

Lean Schnettgoecke and Tesa Price added 1 point apiece for the Hawks.

Carrollton is set to open the Carrollton Tournament as the second seed at 8 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 27.

Carrollton will meet the winner of No. 7 seed Jersey vs. No. 10 seed Calhoun. Jersey and Calhoun play at 3:30 p.m. on Saturday, Jan. 24, 2026, in the tournament.

Liberty is the top seed in the Carrollton Tournament with an 18-3 overall record.
