ST. LOUIS COUNTY - The St. Louis County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office has issued charges against Sam Thang, 38, of the 4600 block of Hamburg Avenue in St. Louis, accusing him of statutory sodomy or attempted statutory sodomy and two counts of child molestation involving a victim who was under 14, authorities said.

The charges were issued on Wednesday, March 18, 2026, in St. Louis County, Missouri. Thang is charged with:

Statutory Sodomy or Attempted Statutory Sodomy – Deviate Sexual Intercourse – Person Less Than 14 Years of Age, and two counts of Child Molestation – 3rd Degree – Child Less Than 14 Years of Age. Thang is being held on a $250,000, cash-only, no 10% bond.

Thang is being investigated for similar crimes in Jefferson County, according to the prosecutor’s office.

Investigators believe there may be additional victims. Anyone who believes they have been victimized by Thang is urged to contact St. Louis County Police Department Bureau of Crimes Against Persons detectives at 314-615-5400.

Charges are accusations, and defendants are presumed innocent unless proven guilty in a court of law.
