These adjustments are necessary to facilitate safe, efficient traffic flow during shift change at the refinery during this heavy construction period. Several hundred vehicles will be entering and exiting the refinery’s north access point approximately 0.5 miles west of IL 255 during the refenced periods of signal adjustment.

Motorists can expect delays and should allow extra time for trips through this area. Drivers are urged to pay close attention to changed conditions, traffic signals, and signs in the work zones, obey the posted speed limits, refrain from using mobile devices, respect law enforcement directions, as well as be alert for workers and equipment.
