Additionally, the Calhoun Ferry Company reported that the Golden Eagle Ferry will cease operations at 9 p.m. on Thursday, Jan. 22, 2026, because of ice and will remain closed until conditions improve.

In response, the Winfield Ferry opened at 5 a.m. on Friday, Jan. 23, to provide an alternate crossing option. The Winfield Ferry will operate Monday through Saturday from 5 a.m. to 9 p.m., and on Sundays from 8 a.m. to 9 p.m.
