JERSEY - The Jersey Community High School boys basketball team hosted their annual toy drive Friday, Dec. 5, 2025, during the basketball games against Carlinville High School at Haven’s Gymnasium.

Fans attending the games were encouraged to bring new, unwrapped toys to donate, with all contributions going to Tri County Charitable Ministries.

In exchange for their donations, attendees had their names entered into a drawing for a $100 JCBA gift card, which was drawn at halftime of the boys varsity game.

The event aimed to support local families during the holiday season.

Following the event, organizers expressed gratitude to those who participated. “The toy drive was a success, we would like to thank all who donated and helped make someone's Christmas a little merrier,” said Jackie Shortal, a representative involved with the event.

The annual toy drive is part of the JCHS boys basketball team’s ongoing efforts to engage with and support their community.
