For his dedication, Jackson Daugherty is a Hayner Public Library District Student of the Month for Alton High School.
Daugherty is a junior at Alton High School. He shows a determination to succeed in everything he does.
As a student, Daugherty is known for his drive and his positive attitude. His teachers point to Daugherty as an example of a kind, respectful student.
In addition to school, Daugherty works a part-time job in Alton. It takes a lot of responsibility and focus to balance school and a job, but Daugherty makes it look easy.
When he’s not busy with school or working at his job, Daugherty spends most of his free time hanging out with friends. His friends view him as a powerful example. He shows kindness and heart in everything he does, and his fellow students are proud to know him.
Looking ahead, Daugherty knows exactly what he wants to do after high school. His teachers and loved ones will support him through these next steps.
“[I plan to] go to Rankin Technical College,” he shared.
