ALTON — Cameron Golike and Nolan Robinson scored 12 points apiece as the Marquette Explorers defeated the CM Eagles 46-31 in a home game Tuesday.

Marquette led 9-8 after the first quarter and took a 22-18 advantage into halftime. The Explorers pulled away in the third quarter, extending the lead to 34-23 entering the final period, then outscored CM 12-8 in the fourth.

For the Eagles, Charlie Kilpatrick scored 12 points, and Riley Lamb added 10.

The Explorers are 22-6 overall on the season. Waterloo Gibault Catholic plays at Marquette on Feb. 19, and on Feb. 20, Marquette travels to Breese Central.

Civic Memorial is 14-15 overall on the season. After a game at Southwestern on Feb. 18, the Eagles travel to Mascoutah on Feb. 20.
