BETHALTO - The Civic Memorial Eagles suffered a tough 65–62 overtime loss to the Jersey Panthers on Friday night after letting a fourth-quarter lead slip away.

CM was shorthanded, playing without two starters, Riley Lamb and Tanner Hokamp, yet still received a gritty effort from the five available starters, all of whom played the entire game.
The Eagles set the tone early, edging Jersey 9–7 after the first quarter. CM continued to build momentum in the second, pushing the lead to 26–18 at halftime. Strong play on both ends of the floor allowed the Eagles to extend their advantage to 42–32 by the end of the third quarter.
Jersey mounted a comeback in the fourth quarter, chipping away at the deficit and eventually tying the game at 50–50. CM had a chance to win it in regulation, but a shot at the buzzer missed, sending the game into overtime.
In the extra period, the Panthers outscored the Eagles 15–12 to seal the victory.
Jersey was led by Abe Kribs with 21 points and Shane Lamer with 12 points.
CM was led by Charlie Kilpatrick with 24 points and Lukus Zangori with 18 points.
