CONCORD - Calhoun defeated Triopia 50-0 in a football game on Friday, Aug. 21, 2026, at Concord behind four first-quarter touchdowns and a shutout defensive effort.

Calhoun led 28-0 after the first quarter and 42-0 at halftime. Neither team scored in the third quarter before Calhoun added 8 points in the fourth quarter.

Calhoun is expected to be one of the top teams in Class 1A statewide this year with several outstanding performers back.

Will Lorton scored on a 6-yard run with 9:47 left in the first quarter, and Earl Elmore kicked the extra point. Jake Brannan followed with a 6-yard touchdown run at 7:02, but the kick failed. Easton Wallendorf scored on a 15-yard run at 3:35, and Lorton ran in the conversion. Lane Eilerman returned a punt 60 yards for a touchdown with 55 seconds left in the quarter, and Elmore added the kick.

In the second quarter, Parker Baalman caught a 7-yard touchdown pass from Elmore with 7:31 left, but the kick failed. Lane Eilerman added a 28-yard touchdown catch from Elmore at 4:19, and Lorton ran in the conversion.

Brody Eilerman scored on a 1-yard run with 4:45 left in the fourth quarter, and Charlie Fester ran in the conversion for the final points.

Calhoun hosts Beardstown at 7 p.m. on Friday, Aug. 28, 2026.
