Parrish allegedly knowingly obtained unauthorized control over various pieces of scrap metal which were property of Alton Materials on Jan. 8, 2026. Charging documents note Parrish had previously been convicted of burglary in a prior Madison County case from 2023.

The Alton Police Department presented the latest case against Parrish, who was ordered released from custody pending trial.

This comes nearly one year after two other local residents were charged with stealing between $500-$10,000 worth of copper wire from Alton Materials, with more details available in this previous story on Riverbender.com.

All individuals charged are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
