ALTON — The Alton Redbirds secured a commanding 81-42 victory over Belleville Althoff Tuesday night, Dec. 16, 2025, at home, with five players reaching double-digit scoring.

Alton took an early lead, outscoring Belleville Althoff 15-6 in the first quarter. The Redbirds extended their advantage to 35-17 by halftime. In the third quarter, Alton pushed the lead further to 66-31, eventually closing out the game by outscoring their opponent 15-11 in the final period.

Alton coach Dylan Dudley praised his team's offensive capabilities. "This team can really score. Last year's team was physical, but with this year's team, you have to guard every player. This team is really talented, and I can't wait," he said.

The Redbirds were led by Tysean Jones with 15 points, followed by O'Bryant Brown with 13, Ryan Howard with 12, Jamarion Green with 11, and Jerry Brandon with 10.

Belleville Althoff’s DeMaree Koonce contributed 10 points in the game.

Alton is 5-2 on the season and 2-0 in the conference. They now play Friday night against Belleville West at home.
