For her dedication, Ainsley Turkington is a Student of the Month for Father McGivney Catholic High School.
Turkington, a junior, enjoys running. She participates on the cross country team and looks forward to rejoining the track team this season after a break during her sophomore year. She plans to compete in both sports during her senior year as well.
It’s difficult to balance academics and athletics, but Turkington juggles both with ease. She is a kind and committed teammate as well as a devoted student.
Outside of school, Turkington is a youth group leader at her church. She empowers her peers and encourages them through their studies, struggles and successes. She also regularly babysits for local families and during church events.
When she’s not busy, Turkington enjoys creating art. She loves painting, papier-mâché and photography. She also spends a lot of time outside hiking and camping with her friends.
Though Turkington is still deciding what she wants to do after high school, she knows her teachers and loved ones will have her back no matter what she chooses. They will cheer her on and look forward to seeing her continued success.
