PONTOON BEACH -The Madison County Board recognized Madison County Transit (MCT) at its October 21 Board Meeting for an outstanding achievement: completing the Federal Transit Administration (FTA) Triennial Review with "No Findings" for the second consecutive review cycle. Sixteen members of the Agency for Community Transit (ACT) team attended the meeting and were recognized by County Board Chairman Chris Slusser and honored with a standing ovation from the County Board members for their efforts in maintaining the agency's high standards of accountability and operational excellence.
Conducted every three years, the FTA Triennial Review is a detailed and comprehensive examination of every transit agency in the U.S. that receives federal funding. The review evaluates compliance across 20 areas of operation, including financial management, procurement, maintenance, safety, among many other federal requirements. The process involves the submission of thousands of pages of documents, financial reports, procurement records, and operating procedures, along with employee interviews, on-site assessments, and facility inspections. For MCT, the latest review resulted in "No Findings," meaning that reviewers did not identify any deficiencies. MCT achieved the same result during its previous review in 2023.

"This accomplishment belongs to the entire ACT team," said ACT Executive Director SJ Morrison. "Words cannot express how proud I am of our employees and leadership team. Their dedication made this outstanding result possible. This team not only cares about the services we provide and the people we serve, they care about the quality of those services, and that's evident in another perfect Triennial Review."
While the Triennial Review takes place every three years, maintaining compliance is an ongoing responsibility that involves employees across nearly every department. Achieving two consecutive reviews with no findings is rare and reflects the agency's commitment to responsible management of public resources and providing safe, reliable public transportation to Madison County residents.
