Blount had previously been charged with possessing a weapon as a felon, possession of methamphetamine and resisting a peace officer on July 8, 2026. Court records state he was being held in custody at the Madison County Jail before being released for medical furlough on Aug. 12, 2026.

The state’s petition to deny Blount’s pretrial release from custody in this latest case notes he was transported by the Madison County Sheriff’s Office from the Madison County Jail to Anderson Hospital for treatment.

“He fled from the hospital, and entered the garage of a neighboring residence, stealing an e-bike and fleeing,” the petition states. “He was located and re-arrested, still on the stolen e-bike.”

The Maryville Police Department presented the latest case against Blount, who currently remains in custody at the Madison County Jail.

All individuals charged are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
