ALTON - The Alton Marina will celebrate its 30th anniversary with a Miami Vice-themed party.

From 6–10 p.m. on Saturday, Aug. 22, 2026, community members can stop by the marina to enjoy drink specials, giveaways, live music by The Klose Kuarters Band, and more. Manager Rob Honke looks forward to welcoming the community to learn more about the marina and celebrate their milestone year.
“The marina is turning 30,” he said. “I’m hoping to see some pastel suits and some Cuban hats and that kind of thing, if anybody’s got a Lamborghini or a Ferrari or something.”
Honke is especially looking forward to the Miami Vice theme. He said a fellow boater suggested the theme to him, and he thought it was “a great idea.”
The Klose Kuarters Band, featuring Mark Klose of KSHE 95, will play from 7–10 p.m. There will be a cash bar and drink specials with discounts throughout the night.
Exclusive marina merchandise will be available for purchase, in addition to several giveaways.
Rollin’ Dogs Food Truck will be onsite. Honke suggests that community members can also visit the Alton Food Truck Festival at the amphitheater that afternoon, and then stop by the Alton Marina for the party that night.
“It always coincides with the Food Truck Festival,” he said. “We’ve got a crowd down there already, and we get a lot of people who come over after the food truck event because we’re just getting started when that’s ending.”
Honke encourages people to stop by the Alton Marina’s 30th anniversary party and enjoy the celebration. He added that the marina is always busy and eager to welcome boaters.
