EDWARDSVILLE - Rain played havoc with the schedule for the first time this year at the $30,000 Edwardsville Futures Tennis Tournament, presented by The EGHM Foundation, Friday, July 31, 2026, at the Edwardsville Tennis Center.
Play was delayed in the morning due to thundershowers that moved into the area, but had gone away by the start of play at noon. Only the four singles quarterfinals were played, while the doubles semifinals were pushed back to Saturday morning.

Competition on Saturday, Aug. 1, 2026, has been moved to start at 11 a.m. at the Principia College indoor courts, according to the Edwardsville Futures Tournament Facebook page.
In the singles quarterfinals, top seed Johannus Monday of Great Britain won his match over Amdreja Petrovic of Norway 6-3, 6-4, while in the second quarterfinal, fifth seed Ozan Baris of the United States defeated Maxwell Exsted, also from the United States, 6-3, 6-1. In the lower half of the bracket, seventh seed Bruno Kuzuhara of the United States won over fellow American Jack Anthrop 6-4, 6-4, and unseeded Vignesh Gogineni of the United States upset second-seeded Karin Bennani of Morocco 5-7, 6-2, 6-2.
The scheduled doubles semifinal matches, between top seeds Ethan Cook of Australia and Leo Vithoontien of Japan against Anthrop and Noah Zamora of the United States, and third-seeded Exsted and Cooper Woestendick of the United States against the unseeded American team of Brandon Carpico and Nikita Filin, were eventually postponed to Saturday morning.
Saturday morning, the singles semifinals will pit Monday against Baris, and Kuzuhara against Gogineni.
