PONTOON BEACH - Pontoon Beach Police Chief Chris Modrusic issued the following statements after the arrests in a recent homicide in the region.

"On behalf of the Pontoon Beach Police Department, I would like to extend my sincere
appreciation to everyone who assisted in the successful homicide investigation.

"Thank you to the Major Case Squad of Greater St. Louis and all of its investigators for their professionalism, dedication, and tireless work throughout this investigation. Your expertise and commitment were invaluable.

"I also want to recognize the officers and dispatchers of the Pontoon Beach Police Department for their outstanding response and professionalism from the initial call through the conclusion of the investigation. Thank you to our neighboring law enforcement agencies for your immediate assistance during the initial response and for helping locate the suspects and vehicles involved. I would also like to thank the Madison County State's Attorney's Office for its guidance and support throughout this case."

Modrusic closed with the following comment: "Finally, our thoughts and prayers remain with the victim's family during this difficult time. This case demonstrates the strength of teamwork and cooperation among law enforcement agencies in the pursuit of justice."
