JERSEYVILLE — Jersey Community High School's FFA chapter was recognized for a “successful year” at the Section 15 Banquet, where Jerseyville earned top Greenhand and Discovery team honors and placed second overall in the varsity team standings among 16 schools.

Jersey Community Unit School District 100 shared the results in a post, saying FFA members Mary Jones and Lucy Boes “were also recognized for their achievements this year with their SAE projects.” Jersey's Tucker Woolsey was also elected Section 15 FFA Sentinel.

In individual varsity results, Nick Wedig placed second overall, and Katie Cornelius placed third overall.

In Greenhand individual results, Elly Federle placed third overall, Erin Federle placed sixth overall, and Braylee Waier placed seventh overall.

In the Discovery individual results, Carson Beckman placed first overall, Maci Beckman placed seventh overall, and Cece Peters placed eighth overall.
