FATHER MCGIVNEY CATHOLIC 21, MARYVILLE CHRISTIAN 6: McGivney hit for 10 runs in the second, three in the third, and eight in the fourth to take the win at Maryville.

Both Harper Schagemann and Katherine Kamp had three hits and two RBIs each for the Griffins, while Alexa Jones went all the way in the circle, striking out six.

McGivney is now 8-8, while the Lions go to 2-8.

CARROLLTON 19, MT. STERLING BROWN COUNTY 2: Carrollton scored three runs in the third, five in the fourth, and seven in the fifth to win at Brown County.

Hadley Lake led the Hawks with two hits and three RBIs, while Brookelynn Eilerman went all the way in the circle, striking out six.

Carrollton is now 10-10-1, while the Hornets go to 8-10.

CALHOUN 6, GREENFIELD NORTHWESTERN 2: Calhoun picked up two runs in the first, one run in the second, and three runs in the sixth to take a home win over Greenfield.

Layla Longnecker had two hits and three RBIs for the Warriors. Anabel Eilerman fanned 11 while in the circle.

Calhoun is now 10-9, while the Tigers fall to 9-13.

ALTON 12, EAST ST. LOUIS 0: Alton got two runs in the first and fifth, four runs in the second, three runs in the third, and a single run in the fourth to take the win over East St. Louis at the Jackie Joyner-Kersee center.

Lexi Fischer led the Redbirds with four hits and three RBIs, while Kynlie Muscarella struck out seven in a complete game in the circle. Asia Jackson, Khayla Walker, and Ariel Richardson had the hits for the Flyers, while Walker fanned three in the circle.

Alton is now 6-21, while East Side goes to 1-14.

STAUNTON 9, CARLINVILLE 3: Staunton scored two runs in the third, three in the fifth, one in the sixth, and three more in the seventh to win in a South Central Conference game at Loveless Park.

Lexi Fenton led the Cavaliers with two hits, while Hallie Gibson went all the way in the circle, striking out 14.

The Bulldogs are now 5-8, while Carlinville is now 6-13.

FREEBURG 5, EAST ALTON-WOOD RIVER 1: Freeburg scored twice in both the first and fifth innings, and once in the third en route to their win at home over EAWR.

Liberty Fry had a hit and the only RBI for the Oilers, while Ellie Beechum struck out nine in the circle.

The Midgets are now 19-6, while EAWR is now 5-14.

BELLEVILLE WEST 3, CIVIC MEMORIAL 2: The two teams traded runs in the third, then West scored twice in the bottom of the sixth, while CM scored once in the top of the seventh as the Maroons pulled out the win at home.

Paige Winship had two hits for the Eagles, while Olivia Monroe again went all the way in the circle, striking out six.

The Maroons are now 11-10, while CM is now 7-13.

In the other games on Thursday's schedule, Columbia got past Breese Central 1-0, Edwardsville won over Collinsville 19-0, Belleville East doubled on O'Fallon 10-5, Winchester West Central defeated White Hall North Greene 5-4, Okawville got past Sparta 5-4, Waterloo won the city crown over Waterloo Gibault Catholic 12-2, Dupo won over Valmeyer 10-4, and Salem rallied from 4-0 down to defeat Roxana 7-6.

CIVIC MEMORIAL 7, JERSEY 0: Allie Kamp and Landree Wallace both had braces (two goals each), while Delaney Griffin, Sara Aiello, and Gabrielle Hartsock also scored in CM's win over Jersey at Hauser Field.

Bryleigh Marshall had to make one save in goal to record the clean sheet in goal for the Eagles, who are now 6-8-1, while the Panthers go to 4-13-0.

TRIAD 3, WATERLOO 0: London Looby, Lily Zobrist, and Shirley Wilder all scored as Triad dealt Waterloo their first loss of the year at Waterloo.

Payton Hartmann had nine saves in goal for the Knights to record the clean sheet.

Triad is now 10-3-2, while the Bulldogs slip to 14-1-0

BELLEVILLE EAST 3, GRANITE CITY 1: Charlee Schwaller scored her 12th goal of the season for the only strike for Granite City in their loss to Belleville East at Charlie Woodford Field.

Katie Gartner had three saves in goal for the Warriors, who are now 6-9-1, while the Lancers are now 11-5-1.

In other matches played on Thursday, Belleville Althoff Catholic won over Maryville Christian 8-0, in a tournament at Bettendorf, Ia., Belleville West shut out Moline 3-0, St. Joseph's Academy of Fronttenac, Mo., in west St. Louis County, nipped O'Fallon 1-0, and Collinsville won over Freeburg 4-1.
