ALTON - The Alton First Responders Springfest will run throughout the next week.

On April 10, 2026, the Springfest carnival opened at 5 p.m. and drew a small crowd for its first night at the Alton Amphitheater. The carnival will continue through April 19, 2026, and community members are encouraged to come by and enjoy the fun.

Hosted by Luehrs’ Ideal Rides, the carnival includes rides, games, food and more.

The carnival’s hours are as follows:

Friday, April 10: Opens at 5 p.m.
Saturday, April 11: Opens at 1 p.m.
Sunday, April 12: 1 p.m. to 8 p.m.
Monday, April 13: Opens at 5 p.m.
Tuesday, April 14: Opens at 5 p.m.
Wednesday, April 15: Opens at 5 p.m.
Thursday, April 16: Opens at 5 p.m.
Friday, April 17: Opens at 3 p.m.
Saturday, April 18: Opens at 1 p.m.
Sunday, April 19: 1 p.m. to 5 p.m.

From Monday through Thursday, all rides take one ticket. On Friday through Sunday, rides take either one or two tickets. Tickets cost $2 each or 16 for $30.

Attendees under age 18 must be accompanied by an adult age 21 or older on Fridays and Saturdays. One adult can supervise up to eight kids and must be prepared to show a government-issued ID upon request.

All bags are subject to search. The Alton Police Department also prohibits neck gaiters and face covering at the Springfest, and running is not allowed. For more information about the department’s safety rules, read this article on RiverBender.com.
