The Saturday game featured a close first half, with both teams scoring 13 points in the opening quarter. Calhoun edged Triopia 13-11 in the second quarter to take a halftime lead. Calhoun extended its advantage with a 12-point third quarter, then sealed the victory with a 19-point final period.

Leading the scoring for Calhoun was Lane Eilerman with 17 points, followed by Jack Goode with 13 and Jack Zipprich with 12. Other contributors included Gage Kiel with seven points, Blake Nolte with four, Easton Wallendorf with three, Will Lorton with two, and Earl Elmore with one.

Triopia’s top scorer was Nethery with 18 points, supported by Bogner with seven, Holbrook with nine, Roegge with six, and Earlier with three.

Calhoun made two three-pointers during the game, credited to Zipprich, Kiel, and Wallendorf. Triopia converted four three-pointers, made by Bogner, Parlier, Roegge, and Holbrook.

The teams played with a combined total of 28 fouls, 15 called on Calhoun and 13 on Triopia.

With the win, Calhoun improved its record to 10-2 on the season.
