ALTON - The Alton High School girls bowling team returned to competition Monday night, Jan. 5, 2026, defeating Belleville West Maroons at Bowl Haven Lanes. The varsity squad won decisively, 37-3, while the junior varsity team secured a 7-0 victory.

During the varsity match, several Redbirds players posted notable individual performances.

Isa Espinoza led with a 541 series, including a 191 game. Chloe McIntyre followed closely, scoring a 547 series with a 202 game. Jaycee Dwiggins contributed a 556 series featuring a 210 game. Jillian Dwiggins stood out with a 757 series, which included games of 224, 258, and 275.

The team emphasized covering frames throughout the competition as they resumed play after a busy holiday break, head girls coach Jaime Dwiggins said after the match.
