the show:\n\nMooneyham Art invites you to the kind of art exhibit tha
t comes from living fully\, breaking open\, rebuilding\, and choosing 
wonder\, with consistency that is evidenced over time. Nancy Early&rsq
uo\;s journey from the Midwest to California and back to St. Louis mir
rors the spirit of her fluid acrylics: nothing stays still\; everythin
g transforms. Early&rsquo\;s &ldquo\;Abstracted Landscape&rdquo\; seri
es embodies this evolution\, letting color\, water\, and intuition car
ve new worlds. Each piece reflects the belief that growth comes from e
xperience\, resilience\, and the courage to follow the next adventure 
wherever it leads. This free to the public immersive experience blends
abstract art with the technicolor sounds of Psychedelic Symphony\, gl
utinous deserts\, and community.\n\n \n\nAbout the Artist:\n\nBorn and
raised in the Midwest\, Nancy moved to California as a young adult an
d immediately fell in love with the abundance of nature found in Calif
ornia\, drawing inspiration from the florals\, landscapes\, animals\, 
and ocean. Decades later Early returned to the Midwest where she found
love again after a failed marriage following the implosion of the eco
nomy in 2008. For a brief time\, the second marriage was great\, but a
las\, not sustainable. She found herself searching for work and a new 
life. St. Louis was the perfect place to rebuild. She finally found he
r tribe in the creative and blues music scene of the metro region\, al
ong with a new romance with a musician that understands the artist&rsq
uo\;s mindset.\n\n \n\nNancy has created a body of work she calls &ldq
uo\;The Abstracted Landscape.&rdquo\; In these flowing acrylic paintin
gs on canvas and board\, she developed a unique view of land\, sea\, a
nd sky. She abstracts the view by letting the flow of fluid acrylics c
reate a sense of place. The painting can go in many directions. It cou
ld become an idyllic view of a pristine lake\, crashing waves\, a dese
rt storm\, or a scene that might exist in another world.\n\n \n\nNancy
tries not to force the painting to become something real. She just tr
ies to guide the colors to resemble what could be found under water or
up on dry land&hellip\; a sense of place\, real or imagined.\n\n \n\n
Nancy earned a BA in computer video imaging from Cogswell College in S
unnyvale\, Ca.\, graduating magna cum laude and valedictorian. She wen
t into web design and usability research and had a decades-long career
in web while always painting and showing alongside the day job. In 20
25\, she closed her computer and notebook and jumped into art full tim
e. She currently runs a studio gallery in the McKinley Park neighborho
od of St. Louis.\n\n \n\nShe teaches her abstract techniques privately
and at demos and workshops.\n\nHer award-winning work is held in priv
ate collections throughout the U.S. and Australia.\n\n \n\n&ldquo\;I l
ove the freedom of fluid acrylics. With my fingers\, a squirt bottle o
f water\, and with my composition and realism painting skills in mind\
, I manipulate wet paint and guide it as it dries. I am often surprise
d and delighted with the outcome. I never know for sure what the paint
ing will become. Every piece is unique and a blast to create.\n\n \n\n
I especially love teaching this technique to the realist artist to hel
p them break out of being detailed oriented and frustrated when a pain
ting doesn&rsquo\;t come out &lsquo\;just so.&rsquo\; In this style of
painting\, &lsquo\;just so&rsquo\; doesn&rsquo\;t exist!&rdquo\;\n\n
